Yippee! Baby Magnus has no jaundice and no G6PD! Hip hip hooray! Baby Magnus sleeping in his cot at home for the very first time.

27 Sept 2012 - Baby Magnus is born

Baby Magnus is born!
Upon arrival at KKH delivery suite around 7am, I was told that I was lucky to get a bed as it was quite full that morning. Dr SL Goh, my gynae, burst my water bag around 8:30am. Around 9:30am, my painful contractions started and I was on laughing gas. Contractions at first was 5 mins interval, then 3 mins, then 2 mins, then 1 min. The pain became more and more unbearable. I used gas each time the contraction came. I think I asked for epidural around the 1 min interval as the pain from each contraction was killing me. However, it was too late for epidural as very soon after I started to push. Each push was super painful. I was asked to push as if I was trying to push my poo poo out. At bylast, baby was delivered at 11:20am. Baby was 3.12kg, 48cm long.

27 Sept 2012 - Delivery date for baby Magnus

27 Sept 2012 is the big day! It's also the day I've been waiting for, after 9 months!!! Finally. Yesterday, during gynae's appointment at KKH, Dr SL Goh told me that I was 3cm dilated. I could give birth anytime! She said that I could choose to either wait for 'things to happen on their own' (contractions) or to be induced. After much deliberation with Mic and mum, we all agreed to go for the second option. Dr Goh asked me to check-in to delivery suite by 7am the next day, which is 27 Sept 2012.
